The West Bend 7up offense may have been a bit nervous heading into Sunday's matchup against the Menomonee Falls Lakers and Don August. August has had some of the best Land O Lakes outings of his career against them, but today would not be his day.

West Bend jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead in the first inning. Billy Bynum plated the first run with a double to right. Dan Mueller, who was called out of the third inning of a softball game, delivered a run scoring single, as did Jed Justman. Alex Prickett would finish the scoring with a two run single of his own.

The third inning featured another barrage of hits from West Bend. Brett Cramer, Taylor Koth, Adam Rohlinger, and Matt Schubert would all drive in runs to put West Bend up 9-0 and close the book on Don August for the day.

Fortunately for Menomonee Falls, they were able to get some stellar relief from Logan August and Lukas Kell, who each went 3 effective innings to keep this one from turning into a run rule game.

Falls made things a little bit interesting in the 8th inning when they were finally able to knock starter Justin Celeski out of the game. Nick Heiting and Lukas Kell singled, followed by a Matt Emmer walk to load the bases. Taylor Koth was able to work out of trouble with only a sacrifice fly and a two run single from Joe Plantier to keep the game at 10-5, the eventual final.

West Bend got a 5-5 day from Adam Rohlinger, 3 hits from Dan Mueller, and 2 hits each from Billy Bynum and Taylor Koth.

Falls got 3 hits from Nick Heiting, and 2 from Lukas Kell and Tommy Wolf.
