For a while, there was a little bit of pitchers duel at Trenary Field in Menomonee Falls between Ben Versnick of the Brookfield Blue Sox and Nick Heiting of Menomonee Falls, who was forced to make a spot start because they basically had no other pitchers available.

Menomonee Falls struck first in the bottom of the 1st inning. Daniel Dahlke led off with a double to right field and eventually scored on Tommy Wolf's groundout. The score would stay this way until the top of the 4th inning. After Pat Tobiasz and Marty Coyle singled, Johnny Arnold laid down a beautiful bunt single that was thrown into right field allowing both base runners to score. Nick Rechlitz liked that so much that he followed with a bunt single of his own. After an rbi groundout, the damage was limited but Brookfield now had a 3-1 lead.

Falls would scratch one across in the 6th after Ryan Romens led off with a double and later scored on an error to make the score 3-2. Brookfield would break it open in the 7th. With one out, Tim Kahle hit a hard ground ball which could have resulted in a possible double play but instead resulted in runners at the corners after the error. Pat Tobiasz then lined a two run triple to right field to pad the Blue Sox lead. When the dust settled, 4 runs were scored to make the score 7-2.

Falls would add one more run, and Brookfield would put together a 5 run rally with 2 out in the top of the ninth highlighted by a 3 run triple from Andrew James to make the final score 12-3.

For Brookfield, Johnny Arnold had 3 hits, with Will Johnson, Pat Tobiasz, and Kevin Zalnis adding in 2. Falls was led by Daniel Dahlke and Alex Sutherland who each had 2 hits.
