It took extra innings in this one at Trenary field in Menomonee Falls. On a cool day with the wind blowing in, it was evident from the get go that runs would be at a premium. Menomonee Falls started veteran Don August, while Monches countered with left-hander Tanner Seitzinger.

In the 3rd inning, Monches got on the board first on a two run single laced down the line by T.J. Roberts. Falls would battle back to take the lead with 3 in their half of the 4th inning. Three consecutive walks led to the first run, before Ryan Romens single tied the game, and Nick Heiting's fielders choice grounder put Falls ahead.

The score stayed that way until the 7th. With one out, Benny Serres singled and stole 2nd. After a fly out to center, James Heinritz found the triangle with a bloop single to short right-center to tie the game.

In the 9th, Serres again singled with two out before TJ Roberts ripped a double to left-center to give Monches the lead 4-3. Falls had their chance to win it in the bottom of 9. Joe Kiemen walked followed by a soft single to right by Ryan Romens which put runners at the corners. Nick Heiting hit a ground ball down the 3rd base line that Kyle Rogers made a nice stop on but couldn't get Kiemen at the plate. With the score now tied and runners on 1st and 2nd, Andy Smith went into bulldog mode, inducing a pop up and getting 2 strike outs from the Lakers 3-4-5 hitters.

In the 10th, Smith helped his own cause with a lead off double to left-center. After a sacrifice bunt, Brad Jacob executed a squeeze to perfection as Falls pitcher Logan Roble was unable to flip to the catcher in time to get Smith.
