Hartland Oilers 8 at West Allis Nighthawks 7
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59895
Without looking at the box score of this game, one would think that it would have been a slugfest. If you thought that you would be wrong, as the victorious Hartland Oilers scored 8 runs on just 2 hits at a soggy Rainbow Park in West Allis. With the win the Oilers have won 2 in a row for the first time in 3 seasons. The key to a soggy win for Hartland was 12 free passes to go along with 5 Nighthawks defensive miscues.
Hartland jumped on the board first in the top of the first scoring a quick run off West Allis hurler, Dave Milhsimmer. The score would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the 4th when West Allis would score a run off Hartland starter Carl Mercier, when Jake Schwall hit a RBI double. After teams traded runs in the 5th, Hartland seemed to put the game out of reach scoring 2 runs in the top of the 6th and 3 runs in the top of the 7th. However West Allis would not roll over. Answering with 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th and 3 in the bottom of the 8th to tie the game at 8. With the bases loaded in the top of the 9th, Hartland was able to push a run across to take the lead. Kyle Mabry slammed the door on West Allis to get the save.
Trevor Duran reached 3 times for Hartland. Jake Schwall had a multiple hit game for West Allis.
Menomonee Falls Lakers 7 at West Bend 7 Up 2
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59896
The mark of a team with pride is being able to pull yourself off the mat when the whole world knows that you are there. The Menomonee Falls Lakers strolled into West Bend and handed West Bend 7 Up their second home defeat of 2017.
Tommy Wolf took the ball for Nick Heiting's group and confused West Bend batters all night. Wolf pitched himself into bases loaded jams 3 times and was able to wiggle off the hook each time. The Lakers also got key hits off West Bend ace Tyler Adams. A big 2 RBI double by Zach Kornburger got the ball rolling for the Lakers. With the score 3-1 in the top of the 6th, Falls scored 3 to pu the game seemingly out of reach. West Bend would walk in two Lakers runners before an error would allow the 3rd run to score.
Zach Kornburger, Chris Laurishke, and Tommy Wolf each had multiple hit games for Menomonee Falls. Matt Schubert had 3 hits for West Bend, while Matt Parrent, and Jed Justman had multiple hit games for 7 Up.

Monches Irish 13 at Oconomowoc Five O's 2
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59897
When two rivals both have had weird starts to the season, the question is which team plays like the version everyone expected them to be. Monches was that team against Oconomowoc. Monches desperately got a win to help them keep pace with Pewaukee, Sussex, and Brookfield Bulldogs at the top of the Lake Country Division.
Monches scored 13 unanswered runs starting in the top of the second off Five O's starter Chandler Ziemann. Oconomowoc showed some fight in scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th before falling in a run rule victory for the Irish.
Brady Williams and T.J. Roberts each had 3 hits on the day, including Roberts first home run of the season. Mitch Dubnicka and Buck Konkel had multiple hit games for the Monches Irish. Andy Smith pitched 2 hit ball through 6 innings. Justin Serbian reached twice for the Five O's.
Brookfield Bulldogs 4 at West Bend Braves 1
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59899
After a schedule mix up in West Bend, the game between Brookfield and West Bend was sent 5 minutes north to Kewaskum, home of the Rock River's Kewaskum A's baseball team. On a field that few have played on, nor seen, one of the games of the year was turned in thanks to timely hitting, strong defense, and a pitching gem. A pitcher's duel between one of the league's best all time pitchers and one of the league's top up and coming arms for 7 innings. Greg Basthemer and Joe Lehnerz wowed a rather large crowd with a display.
Brookfield's Bill Gorman would collect a 2 out RBI single to score Dan Barwick in the top of the first. The score would remain 1-0 until the bottom of the 7th when West Bend would get a big RBI double Ryan Morrison on the only missed spot of the day for Brookfield starter Greg Basthemer. Kyle Krier scored on the double. Brookfield waited no time in responding, when the great Kris Franzen squared up a 2 out 2 RBI single to give Brookfield the lead for good. Flame throwing Mike Mierow came on and mowed down the Braves in his two innings of relief for the save. Mierow struck out 5 of the 7 batters he faced.
Mike Mierow and Kris Franzen led the way offensively for Brookfield with 3 hits apiece, while Jonathan Keane and Josh Lemke each had multiple hit games. Eric Hanschke had a multiple hit game for West Bend.
New Berlin Lakers 4 at Brookfield Blue Sox 5
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59900
Thanks to the wonderful Wisconsin spring weather, New Berlin and Brookfield played each other for the 2nd time in 3 games, when New Berlin defeated Brookfield the first time around. This time around however the game was being played in Brookfield, and both teams had players returned from college and spring high school rosters. Both teams were playing for shares of first place.
New Berlin would strike first in the top of the 3rd off Brookfield starter Ben Versnik. After a scoreless 4th, New Berlin would score 2 more times and giving the Lakers a seemingly insurmountable lead at 4-0 and they got the hard throwing Versnik out of the game. Blue Sox reliever Drew Schreihart kept the Blue Sox in the game working 4 scoreless innings in relief. The Blue Sox finally made some noise off Lakers ace Lucas Yogerst in the 8th, when Brookfield would score 3 times to bring the score to 4-3. After New Berlin didn't score in the top half of the 9th, Brookfield would win on a walk off fielder's choice by Pat Tobiasz, as potential double play ball was misplayed and allowed pinch runner Kyle Stewart and Drak Schreihart to score.
Tim Kahle and Steve Bartlein had multiple hit games for Brookfield. Nolan Heck and Justin Hunt had 3 hit games for New Berlin, while Walt Ziller had a multiple hit game for the Lakers.
Pewaukee Muskies 4 at Lannon Stonemen 2
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59901
When two franchises with the history and the talent that Pewaukee and Lannon both have, you know you're always in for a great game when these two play. This was no different as a few defensive plays and stellar pitching shining through. Pewaukee ace Brian Henschel and Lannon ace Troy Kenkel locked themselves into another battle.
Pewaukee would strike first blood in the top of the 1st when a defensive miscue led to two Muskies runs. Lannon would chip away scoring a single tally in the bottom of the second, and again in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at 2. The game would not stay tied for long as Pewaukee would score in the top of the 7th and again in the top of the 9th to give Pewaukee the win.
Newcomer Clayton Schmidt would lead the Muskies with 3 hits, while Sam Swan and Trent Borgardt had multiple hit games. Brian Henschel threw a complete game 5 hitter, giving up one earned and striking out 7. Jason Kalman reached twice for the Lannon Stonemen. Troy Kenkel went 7 innings, allowing just 1 earned run and striking out 6.

Milwaukee Beavers 6 at Monches Irish 0
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59906
With the same type of soil that makes Erin Hills a US Open golf course, a few miles to the southeast, Monches Park would host the only game of the day after a morning that saw over a inch of rain fall area wide. The Milwaukee Beavers were looking to continue the momentum of their win last weekend and Monches was looking to gain some ground to get back into the Lake Country Division race. On the mound the defending Weissman Automotive pitcher of the week, Matt Burke for Milwaukee, and newcomer for Monches, Andrew Gibbons.
It was a pitcher's duel for 6 innings as Milwaukee scratched across 2 runs in the top of the 1st and 3rd. With the score 2-0, Milwaukee would touch up Gibbons for 3 in the 7th to put the game out of reach. Matt Burke would be dominating for Milwaukee, scattering 9 hits in another complete game victory.
Milwaukee would get a 3 hit game from Tyler Schoen, and multiple hit games from Sam Mattheis, Kyle Knaust, and Rob Tschimperle. Mitch Dubnicka and James Heinritz would have multiple hit games for the Monches Irish.

West Bend Braves 0 at Sussex Cardinals 10
http://www.landolakesbaseball.com/schedule/game/59907
When you have a pitcher like Travis Thompson, opposing teams know that you need to be on top of your game to have a crack to knock off Sussex. The West Bend Braves have been oh, so close for much of 2017, but as they found out in Sussex was that you can't be close against this season's Cardinals team.
After 2 scoreless innings, the Sussex Cardinals went to work against West Bend starter Brad Reinfleisch. After Bryan Laabs singled to start the inning, Seth Kroenke doubled him home. Next batter Joe Ferro would take a 2-2 off speed pitch and deposit it over the trees in left field. Ben Wilkins would then double, Ryan Weissman would single, and with runners on the corners Michael Barnes would single home Wilkins.
With the game at 4-0 Sussex would score 2 more in the 5th, and then put the game away in the 7th with 4 more runs.
Michael Barnes and Ben Wilkins would have multiple hit games for Sussex. Travis Thompson went 5 innings, giving up just 2 hits, and striking out 6.
